    Green terror and tankmates

In a 75g a gt won't be good with anything imo. I'm talking as an adult. Bigger tank needed

Why do you say that she will be really big? I figured her growth rate this far has been pretty normal. Do you think she will be too big for a 5 x 2 for life? I was hoping that this tank size would be suitable. With the school of filament barbs I feel as the tank is plenty active and...

She is with a group of a dozen filament barbs. She definitely keep them away from her but hasn't touched a single one. Little charge and they move on. She occasionally tried to bite my fingers at the glass but seems alot more interested in eating than anything else. She loved her cave and...

    Need some quick advice please!

I ended up passing on the amph and decided to buy a school of filament barbs instead. It's been a few weeks and so far it's been good.

I would say a couple months max is okay in the 10g. 10g imo is only good for nano fish or a Betta.

    Need some quick advice please!

Hi everyone. Currently I have a 7 inch female festae. She lives alone. She is a great fish and definitely has a territorial type behavior. Here is my question. I found a amph Amarillo free. It's around 6 inch and looks to be in good shape. Just about a year old. I always wanted one of...

ammonia spike nitrates but not nitrite

What type of plant substrate did you use exactly? Often times some of these types of substrates are known to give off large amounts of ammonia for the first little bit. After a few weeks and big water changes its normally all good. This could be what happening here. All I can suggest...

Yeah I know, time seems to fly by. She has been doing really well. Awesome personable fish! Her colors are developing nicely too considering she is kept solo. Her size is a solid 6" which I believe to be fairly normal for a fish of this age. Maybe 10-11" in another year?

Please help. White pimple like things on tail fin rays

My festae has these, about 4 of them on her tail fin. White or clearing area around the bumps. They are only slightly raised. Definitely not ICH. I can't figure out what it is and I don't want to medicate randomly. She appears in good health otherwise. Anyone have experience or thoughts on...

Do all females color up even if no male is present or no other fish? Females stay alot smaller, dang I kind of wanted a boy. Oh well I'm sure Rojo will be a stunner either way.

You think it's a girl eh? Alot of the times there are no bars and no black in the dorsal and other times it's like in the picture. Or if it's being aggro to me it goes super dark bars and all black dorsal. I kinda been thinking a boy. But I guess time will tell.
