I'm trying to clear up an algae issue. I've done all I need to do but I'm trying to cycle the green water out. How often can I do water changes and how much water?
In my personal opinion being that you'll be in a car I think it's more about the water being too cool than too hot. You have tropical fish so they need to stay in water around 75 degrees. Unless you won't have any ac in your car that won't be an issue. It's always a risk transporting fish but if...
I have a shoal of 8 bucktooth tetra about an inch and a half long. I've been feeding them various things. They eat pretty much everything but if anyone can give me some advice on feeding or general care it would be appreciated!
I'm aware of how heaters regulate the temperature of an aquarium. But what if I need to cool my tank? My tank currently sits at 75 degrees and I believe they need cooler temperatures. I have 4 goldfish in a 30 gallon tank. How do I keep my water cooler than the room temperature?
My yellow lab is turning white when she is usually bright yellow. I know it's a female because she had babies a few months ago. She seems to be on as far as her behavior but I don't know what's wrong. Can anyone help?
So I recently acquired a set of 8 bucktooth tetra. They are some beautiful fish. I realize they have a very healthy appetite. Has anyone ever owned or can give me advice on caring for them?
I've recently noticed a baby cichlid swimming in my 125g. I know it has to be from my yellow labs because the rest are all different species. What should I do? Should I do anything?
Thank you. He's usually so bright. His behavior hasn't changed. He's still a bully. My water parameters are good. I just wanted to see if I was missing something
This is a picture of my Johanni. He looks grayish and pale. I've had him for about 5 months and I've never seen him look like this. Should I be concerned about this? Does anybody know what it might be?
I was thinking about adding a school of tiger barbs to my cichlid tank to keep aggression down. I have 10 cichlids and 2 plecos in a 125g. Is this a bad idea?
I use a python system. I was told my pipes were buried too shallow and the temperature outside was affecting my cold water. I was able to get a decent temp by waiting until nightfall
I thought about that but I have about 60 gallons I need to put into the tank. I think I'm just gonna wait until it cools down outside. Maybe the water will get cooler
So I'm in the middle of a water change and my water temp from my sink won't go any lower than 83°F. Is there anything I can do to lower this temperature so I can put water back into my tank? I've tried letting a run for a while. It's not going down at all.
