    Sump - best configuration for cichlid tank?

    Looking for feedback from sump users..100-gallon tank, center overflow with 2 drains and 2 returns. I had an FX6 but decided to go with a sump instead. A friend suggested a K1 moving media bed as the best option, but I'm open to suggestions.

    I just read the article about the Berlin Method. Do reef-keepers still go that way? I'm setting up new 100-gallon tank.

    I tried hard, but failed with a nano-reef

    Against advice to start with a larger tank, I started a 29-gallon nano reef tank about ten years ago. Despite a lot of research & effort, I became known in my house as clownfish and coral serial killer. I dismantled it when we moved. I don't wish to inflict that on more innocent creatures...
