Im just setting up a 125 gallon acrylic tank 60x18x24, just going to be freshwater fish only, plastic plants, how much light do i need, i have 2 spaces for about 24inch lighting, any recommendations on lights also. Thanks JW

Tank has beenset up for about 10 months, Maybe ill change the light bulb as that was secondhand when i bought the tank

My Goldfish 55 gallon tank has this problem where the plastic plants in it start to get covered in black stuff which I presume to be Algae, I clean the plants and the black comes back within a week, All water parameters appear normal. Anyone else have any advise on this problem. Thanks you JW

I got them both working thanks to trying your ideas, it seem theres a plastic flap where the vacuum tube meets the hose and this was stuck hence no vacuum being created. Thank you

Swordtails, Platys, Danio's I was told that guppy's like temperature between 66 and 84f , They has been ok for the last 6 weeks.

I wouldnt go so far as to say they were going to burst, but i think i saw some black dots(eyes) in the gravid spot of one of them. Water parameters are in the correct frame and temp is 74F. Thanks for your input

I have 3 pregnant guppys i estimate that they maybe close to giving birth, Ive never bred guppys before and they dont appear to big to me but have big black gravid spots. Today all three are at the top of the tank in one corner, Water parameters are ok is this a sign there going into labour...

Update 2 weeks since i took you advise all levels including nitrates are back to 0 except amonia which is sitting around 0.5 is this normal? regards Jason
