A good substitution for flakes? I do PWC of 10% every 5-7 days Lights are a bit long 8am-8pm Everything was 0, NO3 was 5ppm and PO4 was .04 Yes I use GAC but I think I need to change it. Bio-Load is down to 10 fish. I will be taking about 4 of them back to the LFS as soon as I can.

I changed all mine at once with no problems. Just do it as fast as you can, and have plenty of mixed up SW to add into it.

I replaced mine about a month ago, the same thing happned to me. Just give it time. It should go away. Just make sure you keep upi your PWC's!

I have a huge Bioload, and my tank reads a constant 5ppm. Just keep up your PWC and you should be fine. Are you useing RO/DI water? If not then you should!

^ Agreed, I have the same one. Been useing it for 2 weeks now Cyano is almost gone! PWC every 2 days at 10% or about 5 gallons. Fish are much more lively!

Is Cyano the only oxygen producing bacteria? I see a ton of bubbles in that last pic. I have some Bubbles in my sand under the cyano in my tank.
