i dont know if i can ive read over 10 articles saying i can but i need to know if i can keep a blood parrot cichlid in a 40 gallon and if i can would i be able to add anything else.
PS. i want to keep the fish their formits whole life not just wait until adult then give it away i want it for life

i have a 40 gallon tank and i was wonering if i could have blue acaras, firemouth cichlid and some bolivian rams. could you please tell me what numbers i could have in the tank or if i need to adjust my request.

the snails are fine and the guppies but peacock gudgeons prefer to be in groups such as 4 or more, if you want more gudgeons you can take out either the mollies or platies then that should be all good
alg if you have nitrate it means you must be finishing the ammonia cycle but it could have been caused because you added the axolotls to quickly and didnt give the tank enough time to cycle or the cycle had finished but then you have added all 4 axolotls at once which destabilizes the bioload...

just wait like another couple of days and if it doesnt have any babies you should start doing regular water changes such as every 4-5 days just to keep the water quality at its best.
i have platies and when they lay close to the bottom or are droopy i do a waterchange anyway just to make sure...
yeah it probabl body fungus which is caused from unhealthy conditions in the tank and also because it could be getting bullied from other fish. if you are to cure the fish you have to act quick and get medication not 100% sure what chemicals so you might have to search it up or ask your local...
i really want african cichlids so no south american please. i want to make it a cichlid community tank with prefferably 2-3 species and can you please tell what the numbers of the fish and what fish please:fish2::)
