Few Questions and some things about my tank

You have to act responsibly. One of the main problems i find and hear about on this magnificent forum is of people who have a nice tank setup and then, because they want more fish but won't/can't increase their tank size, they just add more fish. Ok so your community is ok right now but it won't...

Reef setup for a Clown Fish environment

Thanks for that. It was really helpful. Although in a 55g all i can have is a clown, a 4 stripe damsel and a royal gramma basslet. I can't really have a blue or yellow tang cos they need upwards of 70g, the same for a longnoe butterfly... So i can have Nemo, Deb and Gurgles. I will get Jaques...

Reef setup for a Clown Fish environment

You guys are just great. Thanks. I'd already started to look into the whole cast thing. Dori is no good as she'd need more space. I can't have a Moorish Idol either (Gill). I could have a butterfly fish though... i think. I'm gonna try and find out what the whole cast is in terms of species...

Reef setup for a Clown Fish environment

So by a mature tank you mean that i couldn't just setup a tank and they'd be my first inhabitants? I'd have to have had the tank up and running for how long? Years, months?

Reef setup for a Clown Fish environment

Great! Thanks for all of your help. You don't happen to know the species of fish that feature in finding nemo do you?

Reef setup for a Clown Fish environment

So do i have to have an anemone for my clown or will it be happy in a FOWLR tank? With it being my first attempt at Saltie tanks then i want to try and make it as easy as possible. I'd really like to have as many of the colourful fish that feature in the Finding Nemo film cos my little boy will...

Reef setup for a Clown Fish environment

Right well my first question would be "what's the difference between FOWLR and Reef?" The other thing I was wondering was what are the species of fish that feature in "Finding Nemo"? Not the big ones obviously! And can these speciaes be homed with each other effectively? thanks again. Smidge

I may be just being stupid but i don't quite get it. Do they attach to your tap? If so then how do you check for temperature and add dechlor?

Gather Round, Come On Don't Be Shy.

Thanks guys. I don't intend to have live plants just now, the fake ones will do me until i am brave enough to tackle that one!! In terms of lighting, it's the look i'm going for in terms of aesthetics and being able to see the fish, ie clarity I think i have the cycling thing sorted now so...

Gather Round, Come On Don't Be Shy.

Hi guys, I've just gained myself a brand new 57g (Juwel Vision 260). I have some fish in my 10g which i'd like to transfer but i have some questions and also some things i'd like to get your opinions on, oh oracles of freshwater aquatics... I'd like to go for a sand-like substrate (black...

    Transporting Fish

Hi Guys, As you may have discovered, some of you regulars, but this has become my new oracle of all things fishy! I am picking up a fish tank from a seller down south and the gig was that i could have the tank and cabinet (and all of the filters and heaters etc) if i took the inhabitants of...

Good for you. That's what i say! Unfortunately i'm more of a "yes honey, whatever you want honey" kind of person. But hey, i can't complain really. I get pretty much everything i want, nice house, nice car if only i could get the nice fish tank!
