    Hair Algae Removal

    I want to move a plant out of one tank and into another, but it has hair algae. Can I safely clean it, then move it? If so, what to use, and how? No fish currently in the tank it is in. Freshwater. Thank you ?

    Okay I have it leveled out around 7.4 now. I think the driftwood and water change helped. I still lost my young albino briststlenose :( I'm going to test nitrates etc again today. My cichlids still seem to be hiding more than they should. As for the pH preferences, I hope to keep it under 7.4...

    Am I stocking too much?

    I admire how on top of the water parameters you are. That takes time and diligence, so that is awesome for your fish. However, in my humble opinion, your list percentage is accurate - 192% of the fish that tank should have. Maybe start cycling the larger tank now, then move some of them...

    Stocking Ideas for 40gal

    I had success with Cardinal Tetras and Angels a few years back. They're colorful and fun, but still small-ish. Young Roseline sharks might work too, and the Angels wouldn't likely catch them, but they would eventually outgrow a 40. Lastly, another alternative might be a school of black or gold...
