well a handful of tetras, some barbs and a Silver dollar and A redhook met. A couple other misc fish. I watched a couple of them pick at it but not devouring them. I'm thinking the silver dollar is the culprit here.

Well I did what you guys said, but within a day my fish ate all the roots off the plants anyway so I guess I will have to abandon this idea. Thx

There is only the 2 of them, and they have never done it before. They have since stopped but i guess i will keep an eye on them if it gets worse.

I believe my rocks are limestone which will raise the PH, but my PH is always low(6.0-6.5) even in tap water. So I guess my next question is how high will it raise my PH? I figure if it goes up but stays around 7.0 I should still be fine?

I keep reading how you should boil rocks and driftwood if you just go out in the woods and find it. My question is after cleaning them, how long should you boil them in order to insure they are cleaned of all bacteria and stuff.
