    I wrote earlier that my son recently moved into a house that had an acquarium where they left their goldfish behind. Well, the 150 gal tank has a fluval403 water pump which apparently hasn't been cleaned in 9 months! He wants to know how he can disconnect the hoses without making a giant mess...

    Goldfish

    My son moved into a 'new' house that has an aquarium with goldfish. The family who moved out left the fish behind. Somebody told us he couldn't have other kinds of fish in with the goldfish. Why is that? What other kind of creatures can be in the tank? Are algae eaters OK?
