Anyone know what this is? I count about 15 on the glass, various sizes, some as small as a pin head. I can see movement very very slightly at times.

Does the skin of this oto look normal to you? Maybe I've just never seen it at that angle or in the that light, but his skin looks like it has ridges or something, not smooth. From a side view with a magnifying glass, it looks normal, not like dropsy or scales sticking up. Any thoughts?

This is really weird. One of my betta's ventral fins seems to be floating. It looks like there is a growth on it, maybe acting like a buoy! Anyone ever seen this before??

My betta has two white marks on his head area... I saw a small one yesterday and then a larger one appeared this morning. It's really hard to tell, but the larger one looks like it's a depression or dent in his skin. Not sure if it's mechanical wounds, body fungus or HITH. Do bettas get bettas...

I'm trying to find a nice bushy plant to use as background for my 10 gallon. I've got low-medium light, no co2. I find that I'm not a big fan of vals and the like to hide my filter/heater. I need something that will grow fuller. Any suggestions??

I use sponge filters in my 5 and 10 gallon tank, and they work wonderfully for biological filtration but aren't too good for mechanical. I've been thinking of adding a mechanical filter like an aquaclear 20. But then I thought, all that nice mulm and detrious might be good for my plants so...

anyone know what this is on the caudal region? see it sticking out on his left side in the 1st pic. you can see it closer in the 2nd pic on the right side. he also seems to be losing some color.

the water is looking a bit hazy. The tank is fully cycled and I added 4 new otos last weekend. Any ideas about the hazy water? ammonia, nitrites are at 0 and nitrates are at 5.
