I have quite a bit of brown algae in my 29 gallon. It has been set up for 10 months. I do have a pleco in there, but he just can't keep up with the algae. :confused: I cleaned the algae off everything, but it comes back really fast. I do have some white rocks in the tank and they are turning...

I am wondering how long I should wait before adding shrimp to a tank? This tank has been cycling for six weeks with two black-skirt tetras; it is a six-gallon tank. All my tests are normal and have been stable for two weeks. I am not sure how hardy ghost shrimp are? Thanks! :)

Hi, in one tank, I have three albinos and two peppered. In the other tank, I have three albinos and three peppered. The albinos all hang out together and the peppered hang out together. They are pretty segregated. :rolleyes: They don't hurt one another or anything. They just don't hang out...

Mine do not school together. :( They avoid one another.

LOL! This is a fun forum! :D It is so nice to be able to joke around. I am a member of another forum also and on that one, everyone is sooooo serious about everything and they do a lot of arguing. :agrue: Not sure I will be going back to that one anymore. I like this one better. :)

Oh yeah, they are two powerful cleaners! :thumb: I use baking soda to brush my teeth. 8-O It doesn't taste real good, but sure does make my teeth feel and look clean. ;)

Your kidding? Vinegar really kills weeds? I didn't know that. Thanks! Yep, I always spray the paper towel away from the aquarium too. I don't like anything getting into the water that doesn't belong there. :(

I also use vinegar diluted with water. I spray it on a paper towel and then wipe the glass. It really makes the glass shine! :thumb:

Don't feel bad, nicholas. When I first started with fish over 20 years ago, I came home with the aquarium AND the fish the same day! 8-O Poor fish! I had no clue. :confused:

I get that too on all my tanks. I use diluted vinegar to clean it. I also use diluted vinegar to clean the outside of the glass. Does a really good job. :thumb: I am afraid to use Windex on the glass. Knowing me, I would get some in the tank. :rolleyes:

Oh boy! A 75 gallon would be terrific! :thumb: I just have to find a place to put it. I may have to move some of my furniture out the door. 8-O :D
