Ok, I found the API test kit for nitrite, nitrate, PH and amonia. So, looks like my nitrite went back up...but just a little it reads .25 but my ammonia is thankfully at 0. Now, it seems like my pH keeps dropping. I bought a buffer that corrects it but the correction doesnt seem to last more...

but... it was just slightly bigger than a brine shrimp... I tried to catch em but he got away :/ I just watched a documentary on these guys and im 99% certain thats what it was. The tail was curled up and I could clearly see the mantis type forearms. What should I do ? How long will it take it...

thanks, ya.. I didnt add extra rock. I already had rock that had bacteria from my old cycle. So I just lifted it out of the tank for a total of about 5 minutes while I swapped the gravel for sand.

Once again, I appreciate the good advice. Now, I got it all running with the stuff I just bought. The water cleared a bit so I put the damsels back in. Now...as of today my water is good... but I need to cycle again eh ? ok, I can deal with that...but should I keep my damsels ? I wouldnt want...
