I have one, it's ok, but I find myself picking up more individual timers to run my lights an fans. In hindsight, I don't think it was worth the $ for my setup. Evaluate your power needs first.

Is this a new setup? I just set mine up a short time ago and I found some of the algaes will create some bubbles. Especially the brown stuff (diatoms?). I'm sure I might get corrected, but I believe it's the algae photosynthesizing.

Thanks Roka, those are the ones. The owner of one of the LFS suggested them. They've done an awesome job of cleaning/mixing the sand up. Since I'm a newb here, should I keep them or try to trade them in for something else that'll keep the sand mixed? I've seen cerith snails are good for...
