I agree and disagree... I got the skimmerbox and after 3 days no more bubbles... and the noise isn't THAT bad... GREAT SKIMMER ! I just got a sump and hope it'll HOB in the sump for me !

Is the tank getting sunlight at any point of the day? As to fix yoru problem now my buddy added a UV filter and in 24 hours it was spotless clean !

I have the quad light for my salt tank and it's AWESOME... NOT one complaint !

I added the LR from LR.com and then added my fish and had a mini cycle... I waited 4 hours after I added my rock and sand. :)

ask a LFS if he has a "extra" UV light to try... tell him if it works you'll buy it, if not he can have everyting in the tank...

Yoru right it is oiled... IT's not cost effective... Just get the tank :)
