I would stay away from tangs because of the size. You could always get some type of clown. As for the PH, PWC's should help you out there. HTH

I totally agree with what Lando said and when I was in college I moved tanks upwards of 4 times. I also used to run a JBJ light setup and was very happy with thier product. HTH and good luck!

Roka is spot on with the "fishless cycle". If you go into reefkeeping slowly your rewards will be huge. I personally have not ever used any sort of filtration other than refugiums or protein skimmers and have always had excellent water quality. If set up correctly your live rock should help...

I like to mix DT's oyster eggs, mysis, and cyclopeeze and feed everything in my tank. I think my clowns are addicted to it because they go crazy everytime I put it in. I only feed every few days though... HTH
