Hey guys
bad news - i'll probably get it in the summer - a long time from now. Oh and i also want one bigger than 55g. I was away for 2 weeks and the person that took care of our cat also put food in my aquarium and filled it with water and he has done an awful job. The tank was super unclean...
Thanx for the advice guys. I was a newbie then (and now) and the fish that i purchased are not suitable for such a small tank. I have two Blue Flames Tetras, 2 silvertip tetras and 8 SM neon tetras. All these fish are going to be moved to the big tank. I'm going to remodel the 10 gallon tank...
Yay! My parents are going to buy me my second aquarium. I'm not sure if I'm going to buy second hand or not. I need ideas for plants and aquarium models. It's going to be freshwater and more than 50 gallons. I also have no idea how I'm going to move my fish from the 10 gallon to the new...
I have too many fish in my 10g. I was hoping that my parents will buy me a bigger tank but that's not happening for at least a year. What do I do? Should I plant a few plants? I have 2 blue flames, 2 guppies, 2 silvertips and 8 SM neons. I have an airstone/pump constantly running.
Thanks...
Welcome to AA. I think that you should do 25% water changes weekly, even after the tank has cycled. This will ensure a clean tank and a healthy, happy fish!
The only pet besides the family pet (a Ragdoll named Victor) that my parents allowed. ( I have budgies now and maybe cockatiels for my birthday. My dream bird is a sulphur crested cockatoo. My dream dog is a bernese mountain dog the other dream pets are ferrets, chinchillas and a HUGE saltater tank.
Understocked. You can add neons or blue flames. I had experience with them and they are great! (If I gave you false information, don't blame me beacuse I'm a newbie!)
Before I got my new pets,my parents told me that they will buy me a big and fancy tank for my birthday. My dad told me that it can't be in my room because of various reasons so we decided on a good spot for it in the living room but now Oak and Blossom (my new pet birds (budgies) that I always...
I thought about it, I know that buying one supports the abuse but I thought about taking a sick and unhealthy betta and trying to save it and raise a beautiful and healthy betta. It's a good deed. I guess that I will see if there are any breeders close to me.
Thanks
Have you ever seen those poor little bettas in those little bowls? They look awful and they all have ammonia burns. People are so careless about this. It's so inhumane to put male bettas in little bowls and see them flare up from seeing their reflection or even worse, watching two male bettas...
I was just wondering, what's the name of a tank that's half saltwater and half freshwater? You know, were rivers meet the ocean. Also, what kind of fish live there? Is it a lot of work to keep it running? (The aquarium.)
Thanks, Nature
It's so sad. The people in my lfs only half understand what they are doing. 16 goldfish would happily live in a 160 gallon tank with a canister for 200g tanks
I thought that glass catfish require a minimum of 15/20 gallons. They are also community fish, and if you have a lot you can see them all school and look at the same direction and swim in the same pace. I really wanted glass catfish but my tank is only 10 gallons.
Plant all your plants BEFORE you put fish in the tank becuase it scares them and a lot of little plant pieces go every were in the tank until it settles down. It might be a lot of money but then it's over and you have a natural looking tank.
Hope this helps!
AquaClear's air pumps are better. When I went to the store, I decided on buying the cheaper one from Elite but then a worker in the store told me to buy the AquaClear because it's better and quiter. (That actually happened a few weeks ago. I bought the air pump only today.) It's only a few bucks...
