Help me in my 125gallon saltwater quest... (newbie)...

I supposed the location would make Vodka dosing more convienient ^.^ One thing I'm unsure about would be your location; I've read quite a few articles that suggest that ther are severe long term negative impacts on the health of your fish and system due to smoking, and I could only assuming...

    My hippo tang disappeared...

I noticed you said ball tip; You arnt talking about this anemone are you? Drs. Foster and Smith Diver's Den® - Pseudocorynactis sp. The first line on there reads "Eats fish." It only caught my attention becuase none of the other anemone's on that site say that.

bubble tip green anemone wont come out

Anemones are the same as any other lviing organism, it's going to migrate to the area that it finds most suitable. Unfortunatley that's the name of the game, and moving to the back it may have found it's most favorable spot. I can't tell you exactly what's comming out from it's mouth, but...

    Tank Reorganization

Unfortunatley, that's really all I would be able to spare without completely blocking off one exit of my room, lol. They don't give us the biggest living quarters here, but I devote most of it to my tank :) To put it in perspective, the 75gallon takes up about 5/8's the length of my room.

    Red Hairy stuff

http://www.aquariumadvice.com/articles/articles/20/1/Cyanobacteria-AKA-Red-Slime-Algae-/Page1.html Take a look at this article. Are you using an RO/DI system? Perhaps overfeeding? Extended light cycles? It may be time to start steping up to more frequent water changed and cutting back on...

    Tank Reorganization

Without the heaters, will the fish be ok? I'm assuming they would because it's a short period (Hopefully less then an hour). I'm planning on redoing my scaping also while I'm in there... or maybe that's not a good idea.

    Tank Reorganization

Thanks mel, that really calmed my nerves. I'm just nervous because I've heard that moving things may crack the tank or whatnot. I'm also a little nervous about the heaters, can they still function while only being half submerged for a little?

    Tank Reorganization

Hello all! In my infinite wisdom, I didn't plan properly when getting my (first) new tank up and running, and ultimatley placed the tank to close to the wall behind it. The tank is 75 gallons. NOW I want to add an Aquaclear 100 (DIY HOB Refuge) and protein skimmer on the back, and there...

One last attempt to see if I could get any type of assistance at Aquariumadvice

That was a lot of nice English jargon, I'll admit. I believe he is merely asking for you all to take a look at what he's posted, and tell him your thoughts. Basically what we here at the base call a "sanity check."

    De-spining tangs?

I agree, I've looked hard at a few of them and never really been able to pick it out. Like Austinsdad mentioned perhaps the bodies were mishapin after death, but upon inspection it REALLY did look like is was carved out. Anyways just wanted to see if this had been heard of before. Thanks for...

    De-spining tangs?

I vaugley remember, when I bought my first kole from there the salesperson saying something to the effect of "This one looks like it had it's spine removed.." or something close to that. I inspected each fish closely upon pulling it out and ran my finger over there area and it sure did seem like...

    De-spining tangs?

Hello all, I have a problem it seems. I've purchased 2 kole tangs and a mimic tang from the same store, and have had all three die on me. My other fish in the tank are as good as ever and I've never seen any problems with any of them. Upon closer inspection of the last two tangs that died...

    Stocking Opinions - 75g

I'm not sure how the orange spot is classed, but he acts EXACTLY the same as my yellow watchman goby. I was actually suprised my gobies got along so well. Perhaps I will make an investment into the black blenny at the store if it's still there. Saltwater Aquarium Fish for Marine Aquariums...
