Hey i need some HELP I had diatom bloom now its gone was gone for week or two then i started noticing red (reddish purple) blotches of algea growing on LR what is it after i noticed this though then another dark green almost black algea started growing on live rock and around it over those...

will changing 20% of water help??

Its not a new tank though i actually was using it for a freshwater tank for about 4 years before i started the salt water one a month ago or so i drained freshwater and put saltwater in then away i went....

Hey about a week and a half ago i noticed brown algae on live rock well it keeps growing im noticing it all over tank starting now is there anything i can do???? I have water all mixed up ready to do a 20% change hopefully that helps Also i noticed some white stuff growing on top of diatom...

Polyp, mushrooms,brain corals i like the looks of them ones theres so many though what do you do after you buy them you just place them whereever in the sand or on live rock and they will grow there with proper lighting of course

another percula and another nem for sure and i was thinkin a Yellow tang G/f really likes them lol..... thinkin maybe a flame angel fish a coral beauty a couple chromis a blue tang a sea star a couple shrimps and of course i already have a percula clown tomato clown 2 damsels and 2 turbo snails...

lol sorry whats an approximate cost for that and would it be fairly easy to find at any lfs Im gonna check out that site for the fish and let you know some ideas for more fish in the 100 and see what you think

For a Hundred gallon what would you suggest for lighting thats available to purchase at most lfs something good for my nems and live rock i have no coral right now but may want some when i get 100 gallon goin

The 20 w Bulbs are the strongest ones i can get for my hood it only takes a 24" bulb so im not sure what to do.......

Ok so if i get protein skimmer next and leave lights will my live rock make it thats in there i got 8 poungs in there for now all i have now is a 20w hagen aqua glow tube bulb just wondering if once i get good lights later after skimmer if LR will still be good to go

No i just have the hydrometer but the thanks for your help i will look into better lighting and a test kit for ammonia and nitrates in water. So that lighting setup you suggested for the anenome is that good for your live rock as well
