Ah, yes maybe. I got my RENA heater connected to my tank outlet/ filter inlet pipe. The vents on the heater are a couple of inches above the sand, so I was pumping water from the bottom of the tank, up through the heater which probably didn't help. Matt.

Hi, sorry for the late reply, Virgin Media has been down for a couple of days. The vinegar done it nicely, I poured a litre of vinegar in the empty tank, and cleaned inside and out. I've got the tank filled with water now to check for leaks, all seems good at the moment. Matt.
