I've just brought Waterlife's Myxazin! Treats fin and body rot & other bacterial infection. Has anyone used this before and do they know if it's any good? Lets also hope it's not a Fungal infection! I'll have alook for the API Treatments, I might order some so i've got them ready for next time :)

Thanks for you reply, the water conditions are very good; 0.0 ammonia 0.0 nitrite .10 nitrate PH hasn't changed and I always use good water conditioner. As for the fish, I can't see any filaments hanging out, it looks a fairly clean gash. It's strange how it's only on one side?!? Any more...

I don't think I want to risk trying to add some tigerbarbs. So let me try a different approach, I'm looking for a playful, confident fish that needs to be kept in shoals ie has a community. Grows between 5-12cm, I can't keep Loaches because I have the wrong substrate (gravel). Any suggestions?

I read an article that said 'if tiger barbs are kept in groups of more than 6, they will not tend to bother other fish'.... how true do you think this is?

Thanks for your reply.. I've had alook on google images and I think your right, sadly I don't think theirs much I can do!?!? Because I have neon tetras that don't have scales I was told you can't add aquarium salt... Would alittle bit hurt? Maybe half that's recommended?

Is it safe to have the temperature at 30>?? I also have another problem now, One of my blue gouramis seems to be rotting by it's gills.... is it 'Velvet Disease'? HELP!?!
