how do i remove mineral deposits?

Try salt, sprinkled on a paper towel thats soaked in vinegar. It helps work like an abrasive!

    Self Defeating....

I wanna know how they do the spamming?? Is it computerized? Because sometimes the different paragraphs that they post are related to actual fish stuff, and sometimes its totally not, like things like child-rearing or poetry. Whats up with spamming, and what is the purpose???

    Mysterious white spots

Yeah that is most likely it! But I wouldn't cut out that your tank doesn't need it, if he always hangs out by the heat source!! Most local fish stores should sell a heater guard, like a plastic..ish contraption that fits around the heater, raising the surface a few millimeters so there cant be...

    Something strange on the lip??

Occasionally, a couple of my silver-tip tetras will have a pimple looking bump by their mouth, it looks like a betta pellet that they're eating.. But after a good 40 - 50% water change, things start looking better, and it always disappears. Can't go wrong with the fresh water!!

    Test kit for color blind?

On the hagen liquid tests, it says it is for both fresh and salt water. Not sure if it really is sufficient for salt though.. But I must say, even with me not being colour-blind, I find both Hagen and API colours tough to figure out!! Maybe its just me...

    Baking soda and cory's

Baking soda has a very temporary effect on aquariums KH and PH, I learned that when I was first starting out. You add the amount, test the water, and it seems like its perfect, but within an hour or two the water reverts back to whatever KH and Ph it was before. I don't suggest using baking soda!

Angelfish attacked by BSK - Urgent advice needed

Black skirts are very aggressive, and nothing will deter their trouble-making. I had to give my school of BST to an other fishkeeper, as they were mindlessly tearing my female bettas fins. I'd remove them ASAP!! It will calm down soooooo much, its amazing what terrors they are.

    Cory Cat Feeding

Get some shrimp/carnivore sinking pellets too....if you read up it says algae tabs wont be sufficient! They are omnivores, needing both veggies and meat in their diet! :)

    Cory Cat Feeding

I feed my corydoras the algae sinking tablets, frozen bloodworms and carnivore sinking pellets. Their colours are amazing and a few new sickly looking ones perked up after a few days of this varied diet!!
