    Goruami swimming in current of spray bar

    I have a new goruami that swims up and down the back of my tank along the glass in the current from the spray bar. The spray bar is blowing against the glass to cut down on the water current in the rest of the tank. Is this a normal thing for fish to enjoy ???? :-?

    Nitrites finally after three weeks

    Well they are starting to kick in.... I bumped the temp up to 84 and have my spray bars aerating the water. I read that this helps speed up the cycle. :D

    Aqueon 55 HOB sucks....Too much noise.

    This thing makes too much noise so it's getting the dump when my tank is cycled. It bubbles the water too much as it's pumped in and makes too much water sound. :-? Plus the motor vibrates to much. :silly: I have a Eheim 2213 and AquaClear 70 also running on it. The AquaClear isn't that bad so...

    White funky stuff on drift wood

    I'm guessing bacteria of some kind ???? Not a lot of it but it goes along some of the grain on the wood. Will this help in the cycling you think? :confused: I'm on my eighth day of cycling and my Amonnia is around 3.-4. Nitrite still 0.

    Ammonia from ACE with 10% ammonium hydroxide

    The bottle says 10% ammonium hydroxide....... Is this ok or not for starting cycle? I shook the bottle and it didn't foam up so it seems clean there.

    New tank is cloudy second day on new cycle is this normal ??? :confused: My test readings: PH 8.3 Ammonia- 0 Nitrate- 0 Nitrite- 0 Temperature is- 82 F It's all a big 0. :p

    Bubbles on glass

    Ok I just filled my new tank and there are a lot of bubbles on the inside of the tank..... I'm guessing they will dissipate ??? :confused: I just put some Prime in and will be starting the cycling. :D

    New 55 Gal. Build

    Well I have the gravel in so far and will be putting in plastic plants and water tomorrow. :) I also have a couple Mopani wood chunks I'll be dumping in it too.... :cool: Nothing great but its my first in a long time.

    I have a EHEIM 2213 I just received from Dr. F&S and was wondering if I can improve the setup for filtering? The Substrat media reminds me of Cocoa-Puffs. :D
