I want to raise some Silver (bala) sharks, Irid (iridecent) sharks, red fin/rainbow sharks, and some black fin sharks. is it a good idea to start them in a 10 gallon tank?

I may not know alot about fresh water fish but i think i can tell when one is ill, at pets mart the had a tank of Iridecent Sharks with one hella lot of white dots on them. the seemed fine but the dots kept getting my attention. what causes them?

I have a Question about the deceased shark... this may seem like its stupid but, some times iridecent sharks arent prone to disease, maybe one of the other fish had it but mananged to pull through, could it possibly have happend because of that? :?:
