My emerald crab died yesterday and I don't know why. Had one die in another tank a couple of months ago? does anyone know what I could be doing wrong? How long do they live in captivity? Any suggestions before I buy another?:(

I have some trumpet coral and my water perimeters are all good. The thing is the heads all popped off their branches. The heads are floating around on the bottom of the tank and seem to be still alive. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know why this happened?:confused:

I have to agree with everyone else that GSP will take off once it settles. I have one section in my tank that seems to grow better than the other two sections but like they said above that could be due to waterflow

Have been using NSW from Scripps Aquarium. Does anyone know where I can get NSW in the San Diego Area? Scripps sea water service is down til further notice.

I poked at it a little with the syringe.I normally would not do this. Anyway it shrunk up and flattened out. Thinking it is some type of mushroom.

I feed my fish mostly brine with some dry flake mixed in. The corals are being fed depending on what seems to be working best : rotifers, phytoplankton, and brine along with all the necessary nutrients and trace elements. The crabs and my two serpent stars get silversides and whatever leftovers...

It is soft. I know it is carniverous. I have been target feeding it brine shrimp. It's center is the mouth but catches the brine with the pointedwhite attenae things and no it does not move.

perhaps you could look at my post in saltwater identification?or know someone? I am relatively new at this and was kinda thrown into it. I know we have made some mistakes but hopefully not to many. This tank has gone through many changes and have lost some corals but have recently discovered...

Just thought it would be a goood idea to become part of an aquarium forum since we are starting a reef tank that was already established with live rock and sand. Having some problems with a sea anemone thats not looking too well is there anything we can do?:n00b:
