Its been a while since ive been on, but I have since re-done my 20 long. It is stocked with 1 balloon ram, 1 male betta (he's been in there for a long time and hasnt caused any problems), 5 neons, 5 glo-light tetras and 5 zebra danios. They all get along and the ram and betta actually "hang out"...

The fact that you have 3 blood parrots kinda scares me. Blood parrots can grow to a minimum 5 inches. The general rule of thumb I used is atleast 40 gal for one and an extra 30 gal more for each additional one. That puts you at 100 gal for a safe size tank with 3 blood parrots. I would stop...

It really depends on the tank their in and the group size. If they have a lot of real estate to cover then they are more likely to school and usually you will get a good schooling look when theyre in about 10 because you usually have one or two that stray off.

When i bought a tank last year i had the same thing. I asked them when they changed the water, cleaned the filter, etc.. and they were like...we just turn the lights on and feed them :taped: Just watch out because she will likely be in shock with the new clean water.

looks like bigjim handled a lot of the questions with great insight, all i would recommend is if your heater isnt doing well let us know the degree difference. If you read the package see that its +/- is and see if it matches your difference. If its too much then you prob got a bad heater so...

I just put an ac50 on my 20 long, granted i scaled back the input/output but im happy now. As for my 90 i have not enough water turn over. IMO the better the filtration or more filtration (so long as the fish are not blown out of the tank) the better.

I would add more cories, see if you can take back atleast one type of tetra and just get more of another as they do good in larger schools and it looks good. :)

Yeah, unfortunately its gonna turn out like that. Ive seen spots like that before that have turned out to be nothing, but more than likely thats what it is.
