Thanks bobber, im glad to have an experienced tank redoer-guy give me advice. and im not epecting a miracle so if it fails, well then a broken tank is still broken,and im only out a few bucks.

while i was thinking on this today I had the same idea as Willsta2000, but i dont think the glass will fit past the lip on the top of the tank, is there a way to remove the plastic piece on top without tearing it up?

ok so this could be the dumbest question ever asked, but could I just slicone the crap out of the crack, or would that be a terribly unwise thing to do. I kinda had my heart set on fixing this tank.

I didnt think I would have to worry about too much water pressure due to it being such a little tank, the tank is 16.5 X 8.5 X 10.5. any help would be appreciated

I recently aquired a tank from a friend who decided it was too much trouble to fix. I think its a 5g because it is approximatly half the size of my 10g. I was wondering how much trouble this would be to repair, and what do I need to repair it?

what's your 20 This is my 20 gallon livebearer tank. I have 3 female mollies, 1 male, and 1 female platy? If it is a platy, I have heard that if a platy and a molly cross then the offspring will be sterile, is this correct?

I was after what you have for a long time! I had a largemouth a little smaller and two sunfish. I wanted a little catfish but didnt catch one. I just threw the ol minnow trap into the nearest lake with some bait in it, and fed the bass whatever wondered into it. It was just minnows, crawdads...

suprise, suprise, I now have mollie fry! I came home today and thought one of my female mollies looked slimmer, and then i discovered the 7-10(?) fry hiding in the rocks and trying not to be eaten. WOOT

Im sorry to hear about that. If you get more females in the tank then the males attention would be divided a little more from one or two females. But thats also if you want a crap ton of guppies. It can be easy to tell the diference once you know what to look for. I when I started with...

In my experiance this is completely normal. As long as a male is in a tank with a female, he will try and make more guppies, even if she is pregnant allready. How many males and how many females do you have in the same tank?

I had a similar incident with a swordtail, i accidently left the lid on the hood open when I left the house. When i came back i found a dried fishy friend on the carpet. I'm glad you found her in time. If you can, put up some pics of the little ones.
