Anyone out there know where I can find a company or person that makes Display tank systems. Like the kind you would see in your LSFS. You know....say nine tanks with one circulation pump and filter. I want to start a project and I require something like this to get it done.

I just can't get over $30 for 40#. It just baffles me. I am sure the owner of CaribSea lives in some million dollar home in South Beach. I bet he has the worlds largest playbox filled with that sand. He/She probably doesn't even own an aquarium. :lol:

Awhile back I spoke to the people at Old Castle. I told I need their playsand, but couldn't find it here in FL. They gave me a number...guess who's number....CaribSea. CaribSea only sells to the Aquarium hobby...go figure :?

Timbo is right. What difference does it make. Why should they care who buys it. I mean if they sell it $20 a ton it shouldn't make a difference if your CaribSea or Salty, Timbo, Reefrunner, etc. If you ask me CaribSea should be considered crooks! I mean $30 for a 40# bag compared to $20 a ton...

Do they really do this because of our hobby? That seems a bit extreme.

Hey Reefrunner, that info on Marcona Ocean Industries is still good. They changed their name slightly...AES in front Marcona. ph# 772-464-1836. in Ft. Pierce, FL. I spoke to Joe who advised I could come pick up a load it is $20 a ton. (Do not mention anything related to Aquariums or Fish, etc.)...

Help!:)) I am setting up another tank in my collection. I want to use Southdown, Old Castle, or Yardright sand for my bed. I can't find it at my local Home Depot. Anyone out there know where I can find the stuff? How about you Reefrunner?

Just a couple more questions. If I don't use any light will three weeks of no light be a problem? Also what about heat? Iknow in FL we don't need heaters mostly, but like now in the winter can I add a small heater to keep the Temp stable?

I have got a 65w pc 50/50 bulb lying around. I was thinking of using that. Too much you think? I follow you on the lighting sch. I didn't mean to confuse you.
