thincat, thanks for all your advice, I will call them see what they say. As for the sump I have the correct silicone, however it is black which is why I could not use it on the tank. To be safe I think I will cut out what I can see on the inside of the tank, reseal and maybe put some metal...

No there is nothing saying anit-mildew on it, do you think its best just to cut out the overspill on the inside of the tank and reseal with the right silicone?
