Great help thanx. So you suggest cleaning and starting from scrath. this means running the tank for a couple of weeks to cycle it before adding any fish and why do you think mbuna are best? thx

that's exactly whats happening I don't get it. How could I possible get different readings? In fact I have two different test kits here Hagen master and a Mini Master, and both read these levels.Nothing else I can do to bring down nitrite levels?

I just don't understand how I can do all of these water changes this morning included 40% WC, and the results of my nitrite test don't change at all and the tap water and prime mixture I am replacing the water with tests 000000.? Might someone explain this to me? Thx
