    i agree with chuck when you find LR like that from tanks that are bad they have a tendency to carry over what the other tank had to yours and destroy your livestock

    depends on what you have in your tank. i would say that any where between 78 to 84 is perfect no hotter or colder.

    +++ 1 for thincat. i agree that his cycle started over because of the bio load mine did the same because i did not maintain it. as everyone else has said the only thing to do now is to restart your cycle and go from there

    get some mysis shrimp and flake food feed once a day alternate between the flake and mysis shrimp. and as crepe said feed only as much as they will eat in about two mins.

    look at www.saltwaterfish.com or www.liveaquaria.com when you find the fish you like it will tell you there temperment and more. happy fishing

    cownfish wont eat/pits on head

    he's got hole in the head treat will antibiotic from LFS if he lives through he should eat again. it generaly doesn't spread so the rest of your fish should be ok.

    ok so i picked up this elegance coral but i have heard mixed things on the care for it. i've heard that they don't need high light but that they actually do better in low light and low to moderate current. anyone know truly how to care for this. heres a pic not great but ok.

    +1 cmor +1 big jim. yes octopi are hard to keep and care for. they will escape and grow fast and eat anything they can. just another word of causion they need to be in a tank alone.

    yeah i have heard that it is bad and can damage you corals and more from long term exposure. i would sugest against it
