    Corals

your calcium should be 400+, Nitrates do not want to be above 20mg/L, not all toadstools have tentacles, i'm sure they will all stand up once they get used to your tank

    Corals

Not sure t5 are good enough for keeping corals, my living reef tank has forced me to spend £1300 on new lighting a KR2 LED, I found that my heteracis crispa anemone climed across some corals killing them until it was happy it was getting adequate light

Is this a sensible solution to my Nitrate problem

I have been advised that to reduce my fairly high nitrate which is 20mg/L was to remove all the filter media (carbon sock, foam, bio balls, floss) and just rely on my protein skimmer?

    Anthelia sp

Low and behold the Anthelia is out in full bloom, strange it kept closed for a full day, I had 100kg when I set the tank up and probably have 10kg spare in a reserve tank which is kept wet & warm, but you are dead right after aqua scaping the tank it took around 190L to fill to the weir.

Well the pacific blue tang was introduced into the tank after being in quarantine yesterday, it is slightly bigger than the yellow tang which was deliberate, the blue tang went into hiding for a short period and when I turned the lights back on he came out, the yellow (YT) checked him out and...
