How do I tell if it's a male or female. All the descriptions I see online are very subjective. Is there anything in particular I can look for???

all water parameters are good. Here is a pic...what do u think??? I couldn't really get a good pic but here is an idea.... Only on the bottoms of the fish, bottom fin, and lower portion of the tail.

No redness by the gils. It is not Ammonia. I just tested and the reading was ideal. What else could it be??????? what is the best way to do water changes???? Petco had aquarium water for sale in jugs for water changes....is that better???
