Fin rot is pretty obvious... torn tattered and disappearing fins.

I had the exact same issue day before yesterday. Woke up to find my dead panda.. also noticed that it didnt seem to want to school either. I'm noticing a little fin rot though, and noticed you had said you seen the tattered fins... maybe they are just more sensitive to that than other fish?

Well thank you! Those Rams just had the most beautiful intense markings I've seen. I wish my camera could pick it up. They're just wonderful! I can't wait to watch them make a place in the tank for their eggs, and see them guard.

I dunno... I think a betta is perfectly fine in a one gallon. I know most would disagree but... bettas arent very active fish. They dont need a lot of room to go up and down or side to side... they're pretty stagnant (even if they are in a 20gallon tank like mine!)... Besides that, any betta...

I would definitely keep it. It looks great and adds a lot of natural color. I just added a few random driftwood pieces to my tank as well. I like the look. Keep us updated.

I actually love that driftwood piece...it adds a nice red tone, whereas all you had before was green and grayish brown. Looks great.

Don't I want to keep the carbon? I don't have an ich outbreak right now...this was a long time ago. I was just rinsing my filter yesterday after it got a little clogged with sand, and thought maybe I should replace it. My filtration system is a whisper30 on a 20 gallon tank
