I'm not sure yet. I will be buying the marimo balls online from someone because I don't want to have to get them @ Petco or Petsmart and be unsure of their true-marimo-ness. If they grow too big, I most definitley be trimming them! They will be staying under 5 inches long. Always.

once it is cycled (about a couple months if you dont try to purposefully add extra ammonia, and continue the large water changes) and filtered (buy a filter! tetra whisper 3i is fab) and with live plants, you will only have to do 25- 35 % water changes each week. now that i stated thus-...

Thaanks for the advice so far! I'm going to take a chance with the shrimp. Because even when I stick a moving finger or something in there (lol) he stays exttremely interested in hsi reflection. He only snaps out of it to sleep and eat. * sigggh... * hopefully the shrimp wont qualify under "eat"...
