Have you tried using Xtreme Garlic or soaking some pellets with that solution, I have read that it will help and actually, it worked in my situation where my flowerhorn was not eating and later began eating when I added the solution to the aquarium water and the pellets...Use the recommended dosage.
In my 150 gal, I have a festae, firemouth, flowerhorn, red devil, green terror, and some catfish. They all seem to get along...I hope it stays that way. Very nice picture of your festae
If you have a lot of fish in your 100 gallon aquarium, I would suggest Rena's XP filter. I have 150 gallon with an XP3 and XP4 canisters, -excellent in keeping water clear. I never seem to have luck with the non-canister ones for the 100 gal that I used to have.
For ick issues, try doing partial water changes, addition of aquarium salt, and raising temps, as indicated above...also, you may want to try Xtreme garlic...I would only go to the anti-ick chemicals as a last resort...Good luck!
