I seem to have growth of terracotta red algae on the glass of my tank. Can anyone, A:tell me what it could be, and, B:can i use a standard green algae treatment to remove it?

Is there any tricks i can use to help a ryukin with a swimmbladder problem? He's a mature specimen (approx 4'') and is constantly on his back or vertical, so its almost certain to be a physiological problem. How could i make his life a little easier?(it does'nt seem to affect him too much)
