What do you guys think of my tank? It's a Juwel Rio 125 with 15 neon tetras, a male dwarf gourami, 6 peppered corys, 9 red cherry shrimp and a zebra nerite snail; its planted with two amazon swords, some jungle vals, a java fern and some dwarf hair grass

How does this sound to you guys??

I don't know if you can tell in this photo but it seems to be a fungus, his top fun is almost completely white

I really like the Panda Corys and the Sterbai Corys so I'll have to see which one my LFS has in stock. Thanks for the reply! I do think my Gourami would like having a few females in there with him so I'll see if they have any of them as well

All of my neons have these white growths on them, with the one in the picture being the worst affected. Is it ich (again) or something else i need to treat them for?

Any suggestions??

They're fine, 5 died from the initial outbreak but after the heat treatment they're all doing fine and no more white spot!

Yes thank you, that's what I went with as I've got shrimp and snails so couldn't use medication. Sorted now, but thanks anyway

I'm getting a Juwel Rio 125 with a Fluval 206 external filter in a couple of days to upgrade my current 15 gallon tank and am just looking for a few stocking ideas. I currently have: 1 x Male Dwarf Gourami (was thinking about getting some females if I can find any at my LFS - good idea or not?)...

Help! My fish have all got white spot, so I was going to use API White Spot Treatment but heard it will kill my shrimp and snails so what else can I do? I've already lost four of my 10 neon tetras to it so I need urgent help, thanks guys!

The plants have come. I've cut the two anubias at the rhizome into four and attached two to the driftwood along with both of the java ferns and the other two anubias are on rocks at either side. I'll put a picture on later when I get home.

He's brown with specks on his body and he has red on the tip of his dorsal fin.

I've had this Hillstream loach for about 6 months now and he's healthy and happy, I'm just not sure if it's pseudogastromyzon cheni or pseudogastromyzon myersi. The photos aren't great because every time I get near him with my camera he swims away.

So I got bored of it just sitting in a bucket, and I went ahead and put it in the tank. I was gonna have to do a water change tomorrow anyway so it's not really an issue if it leeches any tannins. Although so far, it doesn't seem to be. I'm happy with the way it looks but I'm open to...

Update - the water is much clearer today but it's still leeching tannins quite a lot. I think it should be ready by the end of the week :)

I actually got it for free from the garden centre as part of the package when I bought my tortoise and her tortoise table ?

Update - it's two days and four soaks in boiling water later and it's still leeching tannins pretty bad. See how it is in a few new days.

Okay cheers guys, I'll give it another week or so. Also, I've just bought some anubias barteri off eBay, that had some java fern come free with it. It'll be arriving between the 28th and 30th of this month. My goldfish wont destroy them completely will he? I'm gonna attach them to the driftwood...

The water is now this colour, and that's a couple hours after putting it in. I might buy some carbon filter media and put it in the filter though. Even if I do wait for the tannins to leach, the carbon can't hurt anything right?
