    Well first off, everything I've read and heard about the wet dry system is you want to stay away from using wet dry/bio balls if you plan on using this sump for a reef setup. Bio balls can, in a wet dry system cause nitrate levels to go haywire after time. Some may disagree but I’ve heard too...

    I have the model 3 Proflex and plan to set it up as a berlin type system, that is placing a big skimmer in the center section of the sump. Not sure what you mean about the differences in the three setups. Do you mean the function/devices used in each different setup?

    HopeI didn't make a mistake with this unit. Got it on the advise of my LFS and the youtube vids. The mfgr. says to put the skimmer in the last chamber with the return pump when running a fuge. Danger of micro bubbles getting into the display tank with it there?

    Yea I know what you mean about the filter socks and the drain tube configuration. The pictures on Aqueon's web site confused me too. The way it works is the drain tube goes into a clear tube with a cap on the lower end of it. This makes for a quieter flow of water (i'm told) into the first...

    Thanks for the advise on the mud, I thought it was pretty expensive too. I'd likr to put the skimmer before the fuge, but the sump I have won't work that way. I'll have to figure out another way...thanks
