Orange colored worm - what to do?

Yeah but what are these worms? I have one in my refugium. Is it really necessary to get rid of it?

    Mystery growth.

I vote for the antlers. I've had the polyps almost two years. Never seen that growth before. Hope it actually turns into something good. But as long it's not something I need to get rid of, I will see what happens with it.

    Mystery growth.

Does anyone know what these tall things are growing in my polyps?

    Sump pump size

I looked at the manta ray and tiger. Looks like they could have the power. So you think one of those would still give me the turnover rate that I need? I'd rather buy one that is more than enough than not enough. And one that won't give me any problems.

    Button polyp growth?

Any idea what the growth is at top of my button polyps? Never seen it grow like that.

    Sump pump size

I am planning on moving my 75 gallon sump in my basement. My 75 gallon tank is upstairs. I am going to hard plumb it with PVC. It will have about 20 lateral feet with three elbows. Then will 20 vertical feet with 4 elbows. I would like to get an external pump for it but don't what size I should...

    Sand bed or miracle mud

On my 75 gallon Reef tank, I have a 75 gallon sump with refugium. The sump is directly below in the basement. The refugium has live sand, chaeto, but little live rock. You have any suggestions for changes needed for anything on the sump? Or is this overkill?

    Sand bed or miracle mud

This may be a dummy question. Wouldn't the sand or mud just enhance the beneficial bacteria?

    Gorilla Glue Reef Safe?

The best glue is Ecotech Coral Glue (CG) but its so darn expensive. I haven't used Gorilla Glue but a lot of the other glue like Krazy Glue and Loctite's Glue usually only lasts a few months in the tank. CG is the best by far. Some LFS's carry sample's that you can try. There is a certain...

    DIY aquarium build

Sorry I haven't been on the forum lately. Building a tank might be more trouble than its worth. I have 3 SW tanks with the largest a 140 gallon. I was just thinking of having one big one than 3 tanks scattered about the house. Kinda hard to get out of town with that many tanks. Hubby doesn't...

    Sand bed or miracle mud

I am wondering that too. I also am setting up a refugium for another SW tank. Wondering which is better or both. Thanks for asking the question. Also I have an established refugium for my 75 gallon tank. Wonder if I can just add some mud of top of the live sand.

    DIY aquarium build

I have several SW aquariums. Thinking about building a 300 gallon aquarium and selling the other aquariums. I want to consolidate the time I spend on maintenance. I suppose glass would be stronger for that size tank. What is the thickness I should get? And is it hard to do? I have a local glass...

Trigger seems to have ich when it came home.....

Good idea but don't think it would be enough. Thank for the idea though. May use water from my 75 gallon tank.

Trigger seems to have ich when it came home.....

What if I acclimate them into a tank using water from my 75 gallon. No issues with that tank. That way it can be the water change for that tank too. I do have two extra 20 gallon tanks that I can split the fish into. Will that work? Just have to go to lowes and stock up on cinder blocks for...

Trigger seems to have ich when it came home.....

No. pretty much grown. What size tank do I need? There's a bunch on Craigslist. But I need to know if I can use the tank water or should I put in new saltwater with a bacteria supplement?

Just the normal squabbles. Added the bigger one last. The maroon was the bully of the tank. Then when i added the cinnamon clown the power shifted to him. After that the maroon wasn't so brave. Lol. Here's some updated picture of the 75 gal tank that my sump takes care of.

    Danner Mag-Drive Pumps

You usually lose 10 gph per foot. Although that will increase for every turn it needs to make. If you have your sump directly below your tank, then you can pretty well stick to this formula.

Depends on the quality of the carbon. If you buy basic carbon from petsmart or petco, you should rinse about a minute or so. You just want it activated and clear as you want. You dont want heavy black color in your tank. Make sure it's RO/DI water or distilled water.

    Danner Mag-Drive Pumps

You want to match your intake gph to sump with your gph return rate for your pump. The 18 is pretty strong. I'm using one of those but it's pumping from the sump in the basement about 15 feet up. I still need a stronger one. Course there are other pumps you can get. I'm going to get an external...
