I just got off the phone w/ my LFS and they were saying it would depend on how many boxes(fish) you wanted but it broke down to about $50/box and he said 20 fish was about 2 boxes. I can check with the other LFS and see if any of them can give a better price.

Yep, FOWLR for a couple months while I save up another $700 for the lights to go reef.

Any thoughts on these LEDs from CAD Lighting as they're only about $200 more than the fixtures I was looking at and the first time I have to change the bulbs in 6-8 months is going to cost me almost that anyways.

Did you wash your substrate before putting it in the tank? If you did, the stuff in the water should settle out in a day or two. If not you might have to skim some junk off of the top of your tank. As for the live have you been keeping it in salt water with a powerhead and heater?

Is the $40 to drill a hole the cost of a bit to do it myself? or to take it somewhere and have them drill it? Also is there a protein skimmer for around 250 that you would recommend?
