My glass shattered on my mh fixture yesterday.... I have taken the fixture to glass shop to have new piece tempered glass cut- but will take 2 wks to get in- no one around where I live can cut tempered glass.... How long can I go without lighting??? Tank is approx 180 gal- minimal coral

Just wondering if anyone has any tips. We are redoing the floors in the room that my 180 gallon reef tank sits.... I'm tempted to just cut the carpet around the base of the cabinet, and edge the new laminate up to it, like we would the wall... Lazy maybe... But I'm thinking it may not be a good...

I everyone! I just received my new reef lighting via ebay but it came disassembled ( somewhat) without any sort of instructions- I'm guess most people are not as blonde as me and can figure it out on there own lol. It is a metal halide with led combo- external ballasts- which are what are...

I guys, so have had my little gobie for over 3 years, he was happy healthy eating everything...and fat, over the last few weeks he has stopped eating and us extremely thin... Tried soaking mysis in garlic, and added brine shrimp to entice but not helping... Any suggestions

No he's never seemed sick, does it in the morning- and if he's stressed, if I move things around in the tank he does it too;) once he's settled goes back to normal

Hi, I am interested in doing a DIY LED fixture for my 120g reef tank. Any advise/input into size/ wattage color ratio would be greatly appreciated! My husband is an electrician so the wiring aspect we have under control... Just don't have a clue as to how many/ type of diodes to purchase.

I know ;) I want the best I can afford, because I don't want to have to change it out within a yr... My tank is 48" long so I might go for a 36" light fixture... I'm interested in this DIY idea, just want to make sure I get enough lights the first time! Lol- I have an older 36" t5 that I put on...

Right now I have a couple leathers, and mushrooms, and some zoas tank is 120gallon, and been up and running for couple years, would love a nem, and a clam eventually (my mated clowns host in a mushroom;)...currently running t5's but ballast shorted out so need to either repair or replace...
