The letting the water sit for 24 hrs only works with chlorine, chloramine does not dissolve out like chlorine does, so i would still use a product like prime to condition the water.

Actually the tank with this fixture is a fresh water planted with a CO2 system. Low light corals would do well with this type of setup and as i have stated, you should be able to fit 3 fixtures on a 55 gal tank which would be about 324w/gal.

It's 2 bulbs and T5HO 54w per bulb. IF you can use T5HO and it gives enough light. I actually have 2 fixtures on one of my 55 gal tanks and there is room to put another fixture if i wanted. the manufacturer of my fixtures is Lithonia Lighting.

Take the filter media for the 55 and suspend it in the 15 gal tank for a couple days, this will help seed the filter media ahead of time so your cycling time is reduced.

3 55 gal, 2 35 gal, 20 gal, 6 10 gal, 5gal and a 3 gal. I do alot of breeding. Goldfish produce alot of waste which is another reason small tanks are not good, as ammonia levels can raise rather quickly in them.

Some tanks can take over a month or two to cycle, so be patient, something that is necessary in this hobby.
