New Canister Filter, the good, the bad and the ugly

I have a ehiem pro 3 600 2075 on my 100 gal cichlids tank and my water has never looked so clear. It has four baskets amd holds more bio media than an fx5. The pro 3 series have sorted any leak issues. I cannot rave enough about this filter. Its is absolutely silent too. Sent from my...

    Hello from Australia! :)

Carpet moss is spectacular if done right. Yhe only down would be the difficulty in keeping tje substrate clean, that could increase nitrates and cause algie. But ivr never had the stuff so I may be quite wrong mate lol Sent from my GT-I9305 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Hello from Australia! :)

I used to feed them some frozen food occasionally but not for ages. They thrive on various types of spectrum. Even my featherfin cat loves it. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Hello from Australia! :)

It does climb to 20 sometimes but not often. I use polyfilter, I only feed the fish spectrum food and that seens to keep it under control. Spectrum is by far the best food! Sent from my GT-I9305 using Aquarium Advice mobile app

    Hello from Australia! :)

Just be careful of big PH swings, I looked into all this a few years back when I had planted tanks and from memory PH swings a bit with co2. Lush for plants though, good luck. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Aquarium Advice mobile app
