Isn't there charcoal in the filter cartridges for the Emperor 400? or what about the charcoal that comes with the undergravel filter?

Will a bio wheel filter out the chemicals I put into the tank? ie. Stresszyme to lower the nitrites? or Acid Regulator to lower the Ph? Will my bio wheel make those chems useless?

I have them in a 55 gallon tank with the temp at about 82. The thing I don't get is that if and when my nitrites go down to 0, then the water in the tank evaporates, I'll add more water to the tank. The new water I'm adding won't be cycled so doesn't that seem like my tank will NEVER be cycled????

55 gallons.......... I like inverts like lobster or crayfish.... Most pet stores advise against it but why do they sell them!?!??! so whatever bigger size fish that can be alert of lobsters or crayfishs. any suggestions?

The tank i'm using is a tank i'm converting from a saltwater to freshwater tank. When it was a saltwater tank before, I mixed livesand and some dry gravel together..... needless to say, my saltwater tank was a failure..... can I use the same substrates in my freshwater tank?

My fears have come true, Once my snails fall on their back, Hermit Crabs don't waste time to EAT THEM!!! I love my hermit crabs but I also love my snails all the same. Sure thats nature but Nature is making waste my money on snails! and the snails are so cute and helpful to remove algea off...

I have 2 clowns, a tang and a trigger. I've watched the trigger, he's cool with the hermit crabs. Besides, the crabs hide in their shells when they get scared anyways so there's no way the fish can hurt them.
