I was wondering if it was high quality or if there was another brand that was better? I currently use Aqueon, but it doesn't seem to be doing the job.

I have. I bought a lot of plants actually. they came very quickly and in great condition. Highly recommended.

I've had to rearrange the plants since I took this photo because they came out of the substrate, but there's been some root growth as well.

waiting for the water levels to be right and waiting for the stupid roots to grow...

Thanks, would you recommend the sand or the gravel for the loaches?

So I am about to get 2 dojo loaches in a 30 gal. tank. I will also be adding a lot of plants to the tank. I was wondering what type of substrate I should get that would benefit the plants as well as providing something for the loaches to dig in. I've heard so many conflicting reports.
