Does anyone know anything about aponogeton bulbs? Or purple waffle? I read that purple waffle is not a true aquatic plant but mine is growing like crazy. The roots are green and healthy.
I put my lights on timers for 10 hours a days and brought the co2 level up to 30ppm and everything seems to be good now no signs of anymore algae. The otos keep the blue green algea on the glass and gravel in check pretty well.
I have a big algae Breakout on a section of the gravel of my tank. Not sure what kind it is but its white and has hair. It grew a stock as well. Ive never seen it before. Just would like to know how to get rid of it. My otos don't seem to be eating it.
They get thera+a, hikari tropical discus biogold. Frozen bloodworms. Frozen brineshrimp. Freeze dried tubifex cubes, and flakes. I did research on my discus before buying them
I already had 6 Otos in my 55. So they are my cleaning crew for now. Gonna get more when there's more algae buildup. Its is already planted with injected co2 and t5 lighting. So maybe 15 rummys and 15 norms or cardinals would be ok with 6. I was going for 6. Maybe ill get a pair or 2

Nitrates are at 5ppm. I plan on upgrading the lights for a heavily planted tank. I don't have the hagen anymore. I have a pressurized kit now but haven't tested the co2
