    Hair algae

Thanks for replying. I did all that and it's not bad any more. I was just wondering if there was anything I could add to help plus I'd like to get another fish in there for some variety. I just didn't want an expensive snack for my puffers

    Oscars Fin!

As long as it's just part of the fin it will grow back in a few days to a few weeks just depending on the fish. And as long as the fish is not stressed, it will be fine :)

Do you know of anything I could put in my puffer tank to eat hair algae that they won't kill off right away?

    bio balls or Matrix

A skimmer is always a good idea. It will keep a lot of the nasty crap out of your water and make cleaning much easier for you

    Hair algae

Sorry I haven't put any descriptions for my tanks yet (I will get to it soon). Anyway I have a 40 gal. Puffer tank with 3 Green spotted puffers (GSP) and one porcupine puffer. I converted to GSP to salt water almost a year ago and added the porcupine after, they are all doing great, only problem...

    Aiptasia...LOTS

You can try Hermit Crabs, that should take care of it. Or so I've heard, they say you only need 2. And they are pretty much a safe bet for any tank good luck
