I have 5 females and they are in a community tank with 5 male guppies. Never a problem. The cherrys are great.

Ok what about a 75 gallon community. Is that too small for two? Would it live ok as a single center piece fish? Nice profile.

No issues here either..5 males and yes they spend all day every day trying to figure out why they cant mate

question then, if all play sand and pool filter sand is safe, is there no worries about if it's silica based or not?

I have 5 cherry barbs with 5 male guppies and have no issue what so ever. The guppies I have do however spend most of their day trying to figure out why they can't breed.

I guess I did forget to mention I had 6 neon tetras when I first got them. Of course someone brought ick home with them when I was buying stock. They died one by one over the course of a few weeks. My children really get sad when a fish dies at our house. That's kinda why I haven't restocked...

I just took a funny Pic of one of mine the other day.

My wife came home with what she thought were white clouds. They turned out to be cherry barbs. I have 5 of them with 5 male guppies , 4 cory's , and 2 adf's. Everyone gets along great. Turn's out it looks like all these barbs are female though. They are at least peaceful IMO.

From everything I have learned here having extra filtration is never a bad thing. Throw a second filter in there and you could use it as a instant cycled QT filter if needed.

I run into that everywhere I go as well. My only choice is petsmart for the most part. Because of them I have to maintain a QT for any additions to my tanks. I have had sales people "come clean" on their Ick issues when I point it out for them to see. I just ask them when they get the...

Im not opposed to moving the fish but it would to a 10 g. How long before moving them back? I guess your saying I should just take out nearly or all of the gravel for sand? Thanks for replies.

I did notice that temp difference on wiki when researching each of them. I keep the tank usually at 76. Would it matter if I got more albino's or would it still count if I got lets say 2 panda cory's?
