I'm not sure about moding it but the airstones for it are 4 bucks a piece it recommends changing them monthly seems like a lot of money to keep spending for something that does not work very well I don't understand how it really takes in new water

I'm in the planing stage now looking for a good quality pre drilled tank so far all I have seen is the deep blue 75 reef ready black with kit for for about 465$ and the rimless for 475$. I can't find any more information about either tank does any one know where the 2 pre drilled holes are...

I am going to b adding the in tank refugium as well decided on that rather than trying to do a sump on this tank will go with the sump when I get a bigger tank ordered a new skimmer that will fit in compartment one because the refugium will sit in place of previous skimmer
I didn't have to break any thing the grate where ur live rock is lifts out and the other is just holding on with a little aquarium sealant the stock filter seems to slow water movement too much so decided to go with the in tank I still change between 4 and 5 gallons a week
I put a media basket in the back of mine that I ordered from in tank fits perfectly but u have to raise water level after u install it and that eliminated a lot of noise of water falling thy also make a fuge basket that fits next to it but that's where I have my skimmer
